We offer carefully administered sedation options alongside gentle techniques and clear communication, allowing treatment to be completed efficiently and comfortably. Whether you experience mild nervousness or significant dental anxiety, our focus is to ensure a calm, controlled, and reassuring experience from start to finish.

Who Can Benefit From Sedation Dentistry?

- Have a strong gag reflex
- Need multiple procedures in one visit
- Have difficulty sitting still for extended periods
- Have had traumatic dental experiences

Our Sedation Options
Nitrous Oxide (Laughing Gas)
Mild, Fast-Acting Relaxation
Nitrous oxide is a safe, inhaled sedative that helps you feel at ease during treatment. It is administered through a small mask placed over your nose and works quickly to promote relaxation.
The effects wear off within minutes after treatment is completed, allowing most patients to resume normal activities.
Oral Sedation
Moderate Relaxation in Pill Form
Oral sedation involves taking a prescribed medication prior to your appointment. This form of sedation helps you feel deeply relaxed while remaining awake and responsive.
Because the medication can cause drowsiness that lasts several hours, you will need someone to drive you to and from your appointment.
IV Sedation
Deeper Relaxation for Complex Treatment
IV (intravenous) sedation is administered directly into the bloodstream and provides a deeper level of relaxation. It works quickly and allows us to carefully adjust the level of sedation throughout your procedure.
Patients typically remember very little about their treatment experience. Transportation home and post-appointment rest are required.
Is Sedation Dentistry Safe?

Yes. Your safety is our top priority. Before recommending sedation, we review your medical history, medications, and overall health to determine the best option for you.
During IV sedation, your vital signs are closely monitored throughout the procedure. Our team is trained to provide sedation dentistry safely and comfortably in our San Antonio office.
