Dr. Z brings almost 15 years of experience to Z Dentist in San Antonio, TX. She is known for delivering elite, gentle, and compassionate care with a warm, calming presence that helps patients feel safe, heard, and never judged. Dr. Z is especially passionate about helping patients who are anxious, in pain, short on time, or have avoided the dentist for years because of past experiences.
A third-generation doctor, Dr. Z grew up in a family deeply rooted in medicine. Her grandparents were dermatologists, her father is a dermatologist and allergy specialist, and her mother is a plastic surgeon. After graduating from dental school in China in 2012, she continued her training in the United States, earning her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of California, San Francisco and her Master of Public Health (MPH) degree from UCLA. With a strong background in both science and aesthetics, Dr. Z is dedicated to helping patients improve their health, confidence, and quality of life through exceptional dental care.

Dr. Z is especially passionate about root canals and retreatment, Invisalign, Botox for TMJ and clenching, and smile-focused dentistry. She takes a whole-body approach to care and enjoys helping patients understand how occlusion, airway, function, health, and confidence are all connected. She also has advanced training in Invisalign for children, teens, and adults, and loves helping patients achieve healthier, more confident smiles in a way that is both functional and beautiful.
Committed to growth and excellence, Dr. Z invests heavily in continuing education and believes exceptional care requires constant learning. She is a proud member of the Academy of General Dentistry, an Invisalign Platinum Provider, and a proud Molis Coaching Mastermind member. Alongside Dr. Mo, she has helped build Z Dentist into a practice with a strong Invisalign focus and a high standard of advanced, comprehensive care. Dr. Z is also passionate about mentoring younger dentists and training her team so patients receive the highest level of care at every visit.
Dr. Z speaks English and Mandarin and is proud to care for patients and families in both languages.
Outside the office, she enjoys the intricate art of Chinese paper-cutting, which reflects the same patience, precision, and artistic eye she brings to smile design. She is also a plant lover, and she enjoying spending time with her families including their two lovely corgis -Lychee and Mochee.
